What is paper trading — and why traders use it
Paper trading (also called virtual trading or demo trading) lets you place trades exactly as you would with a broker, but with practice money. It is the fastest way to learn order types, test a strategy, or build the discipline of using a stop-loss before your own capital is on the line.
The BullishBrush paper trading terminal covers five markets from one screen: Indian stocks on NSE, Nifty, Bank Nifty and stock futures and options, popular US stocks and ETFs, the major cryptocurrencies, and COMEX gold, silver and copper. Everything is settled in a single rupee wallet, so you can see how a US stock or Bitcoin trade really affects an Indian portfolio — currency moves included.

What is paper trading?
Paper trading is simulated trading with virtual money. You place real-looking orders at live market prices, and the platform tracks your positions, profit and loss — but no money changes hands and no order reaches an exchange.
Is paper trading free?
Yes for the first 7 days — no card needed. After that the Paper Trading plan is ₹199 per month with no auto-renewal, and it is included free with BullishBrush Pro.
Which markets can I paper trade?
NSE stocks (120+ popular names), Nifty, Bank Nifty and stock futures and options, 40 US stocks and ETFs (Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, SPY, QQQ…), 14 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum, and COMEX gold, silver, copper, platinum and palladium.
How live are the prices?
Prices come from public market data feeds and refresh on screen every few seconds (feeds can be delayed by a few minutes). Indian futures and options are priced from the live underlying with standard models, so they move with the market but can differ slightly from exchange prices.
Is paper trading the same as real trading?
It is the closest safe practice you can get, but real markets add slippage, liquidity limits and emotions. Use paper trading to learn the mechanics and test your rules, then start real trading small.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The terminal is built mobile-first: a watchlist, one-tap buy and sell, positions and orders, all in a bottom-tab layout that works in any mobile browser.
For education only — not investment advice. Paper trading uses virtual money; results do not guarantee real trading results, which include slippage, liquidity limits, taxes and emotions a simulator cannot reproduce. Prices may be delayed. Indian F&O prices are model-based; US stocks, crypto and metals are converted at the live USD/INR rate.
