How is today’s silver rate calculated?
We take the live international silver price per troy ounce, convert it to rupees, add India’s import duty and show the price per kg and per gram. 3% GST is added when you buy.
Why does silver move more than gold?
Silver is a smaller market and about half of demand is industrial (solar panels, electronics), so it reacts more strongly to economic news than gold.
What is the gold-silver ratio?
It is the number of ounces of silver needed to buy one ounce of gold. Traders watch it to judge whether silver is cheap or expensive relative to gold.
